Firm Successfully Defends Against Breach of Commercial Lease Action

The firm represented a defendant tenant in a commercial lease case. Tenant subleased commercial office space. A few months after the sublease began, the landlord released the prime lessee from the lease. Over time, the tenant grew increasingly unhappy with the service provided by the landlord and ultimately terminated the sublease per its terms. Landlord sued for an amount in excess of $200,000 claiming that the sublessee was liable under the prime lease. A few days before trial, Plaintiff nonsuited their claims.
