Firm Retains Custody of Children for Client Moving to a New Residence
Fairfax County, Virginia
August 2007
The firm represented a mother who moved with her children and new husband from northern Virginia, where the father also resided, to a new house some 100 miles south. Our client’s former husband sought to become the primary physical custodian of the children on the basis of our client’s move. Further, he sought to prohibit our client from offering evidence on her behalf due to her failure to respond to discovery requests on time. The firm defeated these attempts and maintained our client’s status as the primary physical custodian of her children despite being retained just a few weeks before trial.
